Dear beautiful young Mari,

Nothing — because everything you will choose from here moving forward, will bring you back to me. Every moment, good or bad will shape you into the woman you become. To wholeness.

It won’t be an easy path, but that’s why you were chosen. And you were chosen. By me. Your courageous heart is filled with so much unconditional love, inner-knowledge and wisdom, just ready to be unlocked. It’s a re-remembering of old world knowledge and your ancestry gifts within — you are so much more than you believe, in fact, more than society believes, this will be one of your biggest challenges you will face. This, and not wanting to be labeled or restricted in any way. You will succeed by staying in your own lane and not looking to the sides, just know that your doors will appear and automatically open because they are meant for you. Trust yourself. But question everything. Not everyone or every situation will be what it seems. I have one word for you, strong boundaries! Okay, that’s two words, but they will change your life. forever.

When you reconnect to the goddess within it feels like returning ‘home’ to a sisterhood where strength, courage, love, and family bond you.

The goddess is Gaia, the Grandmother Moon, Mother Nature. She is all living creatures, in every breath we take. A source of life, worshiped as the principal deity in various religions.

A goddess is a woman who emerges from deep within herself. She is a woman who has honestly explored her darkness and has learned to celebrate her light, as she can see the importance of embracing both sides because one cannot exist without the other.

A goddess has both feminine and masculine energies, yin and yang, the sun and the moon, creating a harmonious balance with no separation between us, we are ONE.

A goddess is able to fall in love with possibilities, and trust that all will be perfect in divine timing. She is just as willing to receive as she is to give, she fills her own cup for herself and overflows it for others.

Today, let’s talk about thyme! One of my favourite herbs. Not only does it smell delicious, but it’s magickal cleansing powers are perfect for increasing luck, courage and energy when preforming spell-work.

Magickally, thyme is aligned with the feminine energies, the Element of Water, and the planets Mercury and Venus. I love to burn thyme before rituals to cleanse the ritual space, but it can also be burned in spells for healing and for developing psychic powers, and carried to smell when courage and energy is needed.

One of the most delightful uses for herbs in magick is some good old-fashion kitchen witchery. Here, I’ve created a ‘Lucky Thyme Infused Oil’ with the intention for good money luck infused in olive oil that you can use on salads, and pasta, boosting your receptivity to unexpected fortune.

One note if caution: any moisture retained by the herb will eventually spoil an infused oil. Be sure the thyme is completely dry before working this spell. To get the most flavour out of this process, choose an olive oil made of a blend of olives, rather than from a single origin.

You will need:

3 - 5 sprigs of dried thyme
Canning jar or glass bottle with rubber stopper
Mild olive oil

Instructions:
Gently “bruise” the thyme sprigs with your fingers to begin releasing their fragrance, but leave them whole — don’t crumble them.

Place them in the jar (or bottle) and then hold it between your palms.

Visualise your personal energy charging the jar with the delight and joy you feel whenever you receive a boon of abundance — whether it be money, gifts, or simply beautiful weather on a special occasion.

Send that feeling into the jar and see the same energy emanating from the thyme.

Fill the jar with olive oil, being sure to thoroughly cover the sprigs.

Seal the jar and let it sit in a cool, dark place for 7 days.

Taste the oil, and if it’s not infused strongly enough to your liking, leave for up to another 7 days.

When the oil is sufficiently infused with the thyme, use it to drizzle over salad, pasta, crusty bread, or anything else it goes well with.

If you won’t be using it up within a few days, strain out the thyme and pour the oil into a new jar or bottle.

For those living in the southern hemisphere

Living in Australia – or anywhere in the southern hemisphere for that matter – can be a little confusing for a witch. Most books I have read list dates for Sabbaths that bear no relation to the actual cycle of our seasons. We are at opposite ends of the seasonal wheel with our Northern hemisphere family.

So for us here today, it marks the half way point between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice , the sabbath of Beltane — a celebration of Growth!

This is the most fertile and sensual time of the wheel so immerse yourself in pleasure before the wheel turns again. This gate is when all hibernating animals are awake, signifying it is when we are fully conscious, alive and ready to fully participate with opportunities around us.

It’s also a time of lovers and spells to attract love, and celebrating the fertility of life, not just physically, but also of our dreams and ambitions. Symbolically this day marks the igniting of the fires of creativity and passion, of the fertility of our desires being made manifest, as the universe bursts with a raw energy and power that we can tap in to simply by breathing it in.

Now, is a wonderful time to get your inner-garden ready for all of the abundance and blessings the universe is waiting to provide for you. But first, we must sow in our seeds, water them daily with love, and weed out anything that doesn’t make them flourish -- And grow, grow, grow!

Candle burning goes as far back as the ancients. They were not used just for light, they were also used in forms of prayer and ritual. When you go into a church there are candles burning on the alter and it is certainly not because the priest needs some light. We see candles at weddings when they are lit to ensure a long happy marriage. They are even burned at funerals in honor of the dead.

People light candles for prayer and that is Okay. Some think when a candle is lit to help bring a little love into your life then it is considered spell casting and therefore evil or even black magic. Well that is not at all the case. A spell is simply an intention that is put out into the universe. Whether it be a simple prayer at bed time or lighting a candle at church for your sick Aunt, it is still a spell. Even though your own thoughts can create your own future, candles bring more of a charge to that intent. This is why it is important to always project positive energy and positive thoughts, it affects our energy and our lives. The same goes for burning candles for a specific intent. The intent should always be positive.

For the next three days leading up to the powerful Full Moon in the grounding energy of Taurus , I have created a simple, yet still beautiful altar with a spell infused Black & White candle (color meaning below).

What spell have I cast?

One of releasing karmic relationships and contracts that are no longer valid and aren’t serving my highest good. Thank you Venus Retrograde!😜

'Being in a state of mindfulness doesn’t need to be difficult or over complicated.'.............
Here I show you this morning’s ritual I preformed today with the divine wisdom of the Dark Goddess of Mysteries Ritual Candle, anointed with Dragons 🐉 blood.

I began with sitting and being present using my breath as my focus point. Allowing myself the time to connect, this is a very simple and easy way to enter a meditation state or what I love to call it, mindfulness.

I lit the candle with a strong affirmation of intention, and it’s important to remember to do this again when the candle is extinguished. This action will firmly set and lock in the healing energy in place.

As I watched the candle flame 🔥 I visualised the healing energy leaving the candle and flowing into my vessel, cleansing my Auric field and releasing anything that was no longer serving me and my sacred heart.

Taking in a deep breath and slowly exhaling. Visualising each of my chakra unblocking and flowing freely with divine light.

The Ritual was complete once I felt myself, centered and balanced in my mind, body and spirit.

The Lions Gate is when Earth aligns with the Galactic Center, (27 degrees Sagittarius) and the star Sirius, opening a cosmic portal between the physical and spiritual realms.

It happens every year when the Sun, Earth and Sirius align in specific points in our sky. The portal opened on July 26 and will close again on August 12 with the energy peaking on Wednesday August 8 (8:8). The number 8 is powerful and represents infinity, power, divine connection, rebirth and balance.

The portal opening is dissolving and dispersing all of the ancestral DNA patterns and old belief systems no longer serving us that WE, as a collective, have released out into the universe over the last few weeks.

This gateway also creates an incredible period of accelerated ascension. This year, it's supercharged, and not accepting any excuses, none, so you better get ready!

Everything I create has a story to tell, usually it involves my own spiritual and healing experiences, but today, I want to share the inspirational story behind creating this beautiful X-Large Sacred Blessing Altar Candle infused with the sacred herbs of Rosemary, Basil & Oregano.

The gorgeous Kylie from Bacchus Marsh Natural Health approached me late last week, on behalf of one of her beautiful customers who was looking for a special candle/s to light for her beloved husband, who has now passed away.

A true love story that melted both our hearts, but their story doesn’t end there — In a final act of her love and devotion to her beloved, this beautiful woman is lighting a candle in his memory, non-stop for one whole year.

I was a little nervous after I agreed to sit with the possibility of what may be birthed, only because I understood the importance of the task at hand, and even though we hadn’t met physically, energetically I felt the deep heart wounding of their love lost.

My mission had several obstacles to overcome;

1. To create a extra-longer lasting candle, that would be safe to burn

2. Knowing that it would take many, many, MANY candles to complete this beautiful ritual — Recyclable packaging was a MUST; leaving no footprints on Mother Earth aligning with my own heart song 🎶

3. To infuse the energy of the sacred ritual of Love and Unity — A Blessing for all that we are, Light, Love and Oneness

So here she is! So beautiful, and so loved.❤️

I am so grateful and honoured for the part I’ve played (co-staring) in this beautiful love story, and now, it’s part of my story and yours too, if you allow it!

This divine candle has so much love to give, that I can’t keep it contained. It will become available on my website on Friday July 27, the day before the Full Moon Eclipse.

One of the best lessons I have taken from this chapter is, some stories aren’t meant to be rewritten, some just need to be honoured and held.

There is so much power in holding a Goddess Talking stick in your sacred hands. It invites the holder to share, to speak, from their heart’s truth and. and be listened to with grace, with no judgement, from all who gather within the circle.

It is also a reminder, that everyone gathered is a mirror and teacher for us all since Spirit has brought us together in this time and space synchronically. In other words, everyone who speaks, has a message for another, in their own journey.

In my own journey, I have found that being seen, being truly heard, is one of my deepest wounds, driven by the illusion of fear and of prosecution. Holding this space of honouring creates an opportunity to heal, to stand in our own power and allow what needs to happen in order to BECOME.

Pictured is my own hand-made Red Tent amulet of the Nile Goddess, a replica of an ancient Goddess statue with her arms held skyward in surrender, this position symbolising ‘Soul’.

My vision is to be able to create and offer these beautiful Goddess Talking sticks to other souls who want to hold their medicine of SACRED SHARING.

I’ll keep you updated on my progress, I’ll trust it’ll all happen in divine timing.
